SAML AuthNRequest (SP -> IdP)

About

What is an AuthNRequest?

An AuthnRequest is something like a command, usually sent to order an Authentication in this progress.

Where does it come from?

The Service Provider may send it in the SP-SSO initiated flow.

And here are two examples of SAML Logout Request :

  1. An AuthnRequest with its Signature (HTTP-Redirect binding).
  2. An AuthNRequest with the signature embedded (HTTP-POST binding).
