SAML Logout Response (IdP -> SP)

About

What is a SAML Logout Response?

A Logout Response is something like a return signal, usually sent in reply of a Logout Request.

Where does it come from?

It may be sent by either the Identity Provider or Service Provider, depending on different use cases.

And here are two examples of SAML Logout Response:

  1. A Logout Response with its Signature (HTTP-Redirect binding)
  2. A Logout Response with the signature embedded (HTTP-POST binding)
